Entertainment Desk:

Nazifa Tushi in her first Nazifa Tushir made her big screen debut in 2016 with ‘Ice Cream’. She did not get much success in her first movie. That’s why she was away from the big screen for a long time. After a 6-year break, Tushir surprised everyone with Mezbaur Rahman Sumon’s ‘Hawa’ in 2022. Then she went into hiding again. Two years after the success of Hawa, it was announced last October that Tushir is acting in another movie by Sumon. The official announcement of that movie called ‘Raid’ has not been made yet. Earlier, it was known that Tushir has joined the government-funded movie ‘Sakhi Rangamala’. This is her first government-funded movie.

The movie is being made with the same name based on the novel ‘Sakhi Rangamala’ by fiction writer Shaheen Akhtar. The movie, which received government funding in 2023-24, is being made by N Rashed Chowdhury. Earlier, this director made ‘Chandrabati Katha’ with government funding. The story of a landlord family in 18th century Noakhali is revealed in Sakhi Rangamala. Nazifa Tushi will be seen in the role of Rangamala. She has already completed the shooting of the first lot.

Tushi said about the new movie, “It is a pleasure to be a significant character in such a historical story. The movie is being made based on a story from almost two hundred years ago. After reading the script, I felt that I should do the job.”

Swarnali Chaiti, Prantar Dastidar, Mostafizur Noor Imran, Taufiqul Emon, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, etc. are also acting in the movie Sakhi Rangamala. The producer said that the shooting of the rest of the movie will start soon. If everything goes well, he is planning to release Sakhi Rangamala in theaters by the end of this year.
